We both started out around the same time in Singapore. I first met actress Yeo Yann Yann on a rooftop in Serangoon, where she was acting in the play Invisibility (2000). She gamely modelled for me when I was learning my craft. She reminded me that in our first studio shoot, I covered her in glitter. We were all young and foolish at one time. It has been awhile since I last photographed her: it was for her solo play for The Necessary Stage, Actor, Forty《演员四十》(2017). She kindly made time in her busy schedule to come in for a Drama Mama portrait. And somehow, here we were again, in the studio, changed by the years but on familiar ground.
