Sarah-Tabea Sammel, German, is a filmmaker, artist, and social entrepreneur who works across film, photography, text, performance, and community capacity-building. Her partner Eric Kerr, Scottish, is a philosopher who works as a social epistemologist, educator, and journal editor.
We didn’t recognize ourselves in this photograph; yet, we must admit, it does appear to be us. It is how the camera saw us at that time, in that light, and we are grateful for the invitation to witness ourselves in a moment, perhaps to re-view our perception of our image.
